Modest Design quality - no light bulbs included
I purchased these thinking that they were a good quality at a good price.
Installing them changed my mind.
These are not designed to be swiveled more than an amount of less than one inch. The perforated housing on the back for cooling is so flimsy and poorly designed that it can take an hour to manipulate each head before it is completeley operational.
The electrician who installed these for me delivered a shocking surprise. THERE ARE NO LIGHT BULBS included in the package. YOU MUST PURCHASE THE BULBS SEPARATELY.
If you decide to keep these fixtures (I did after spending a small fortune to install them) and you decide to purchase the lights bulbs be aware that there is a variety available in this type of light bulb.
These fixtures are designed for halogen lights but halogen lights really don't produce a whole lot more light than incandescent lights of the same wattage. In addition the halogen light tends toward the yellow end of the spectrum.
You can obtain more bright and more aesthetic light bulbs in the form of xenon bulbs Feit Electric BPXN50MR16/GU10/2 Xenon MR16 120-Volt GU10 Base 2 Pack (two bulbs for only $10) or GE's reveal bulbs (which give a nice light devoid of ugly yellowing portions of the spectrum) GE Lamps 82143 50-Watt Reveal with Halogen Floodlight GU10 1CD Light Bulb.
In all I would place the value of these fixtures with the hassle of the surprise of having to buy your own bulbs at about half of the listed price.More detail ...
